The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Tokyo recently received a delegation from SPRiX Inc., a Japanese education company specializing in academic assessment, mathematics, and programming education, on a courtesy call at the Chancery.
The delegation was received by the Deputy Ambassador, Mr. Francis Thalamus Doe, who was joined by Mr. Christopher E.K. Gaba, Minister-Counsellor (Diaspora, Education and Culture), and Mr. Isaac Yankson, Trade Officer.
Discussions focused on opportunities for collaboration in STEM education, mathematics, programming, and digital skills development, as well as SPRIX’s global academic assessment platform, TOFAS (Test of Fundamental Academic Skills). The engagement formed part of the Mission’s TICAD follow-up efforts to strengthen partnerships with Japanese institutions that can contribute to Ghana’s education sector and human capital development.
During the meeting, the SPRIX delegation, led by Mr. Shinya Sayu, Head of Global Division, and Mr. Kodai Matsumoto, Manager, Global Division, outlined their international experience in educational assessment and digital learning, including partnerships with governments and institutions in several countries.
The Deputy Ambassador welcomed the company’s interest in Ghana and encouraged the submission of a formal proposal to facilitate engagement with relevant institutions, including the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders involved in digital transformation and skills development.
The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to promoting partnerships that support education innovation, youth development, and knowledge exchange between Ghana and Japan.
