The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Tokyo on Monday, 26th January 2026, received a delegation from the NGO Reaching Zero-Dose Children, accompanied by officials of PoliPoli Inc., on a courtesy call at the Chancery. The delegation was received by Her Excellency Mrs. Genevieve Edna Apaloo, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Japan, who was joined by senior Mission officials. Discussions focused on maternal and child health, vaccination access, and a proposed Ghana Study Trip scheduled for February 2026. During the meeting, the delegation outlined its advocacy work in Japan and plans to engage Ghanaian health institutions and communities. Ambassador Apaloo highlighted the strong Ghana–Japan partnership in the health sector, including cooperation through JICA, collaboration with Gavi, and the CHPS programme. She encouraged the delegation to focus on underserved communities and to ensure close coordination with Ghanaian authorities and the Embassy. The Ambassador further encouraged engagement with the Embassy of Japan in Ghana to ensure complementarity with ongoing Ghana–Japan initiatives. The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to continued dialogue and collaboration in advancing maternal and child health outcomes.
