Ghana Embassy in Tokyo Secures Engineering Training Deal with Yokogawa
The Embassy of Ghana in Tokyo, led by H.E. Mrs. Genevieve Edna Apaloo, has played a key role in securing an industrial training partnership with Yokogawa Electric Corporation for Ghanaian students.
Formalized at the JAPAN-AFRICA Public-Private Economic Forum in Abidjan, the MOU establishes a three-month training program at Yokogawa Nigeria Limited, beginning July 2025. Four KNUST engineering students annually will receive hands-on training in control system engineering, with all costs covered by Yokogawa.
At a recent meeting in Tokyo, CEO Mr. Daisuke Komatsu praised the Ambassador’s leadership in driving the initiative. The collaboration aims to bridge the skills gap, create job opportunities, and strengthen Ghana-Japan-Nigeria industrial ties.
