Ghana Welcomes 2024 JDS Fellows in Strengthening Japan Relations
On 19th August 2024, the Embassy of Ghana in Japan hosted a meeting to introduce the 13 newly selected Japan Development Service (JDS) Fellows for 2024. The event, led by H.E. Genevieve Edna Apaloo, Ghana's Ambassador to Japan, celebrated the Fellows’ academic achievements and their potential to contribute to Ghana’s development. The Fellows, who come from various sectors such as finance, health, and agriculture, were praised for their commitment and expertise.
Ambassador Apaloo emphasized the importance of the Fellows' roles as representatives of Ghana, encouraging them to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and make the most of their academic opportunities. The Ghana Embassy assured ongoing support, highlighting the significance of the JDS programme in strengthening Ghana-Japan relations through educational and human resource development. This initiative underscores the deepening partnership between the two nations, with the Fellows expected to play a key role in advancing Ghana’s progress.
