Ghanaian is issued with an Identity Card, which serves as a reference point for continued interaction with the Embassy. The Identity Card is valid for five (5) years Ghanaians who are resident in Japan and Singapore should at the earliest opportunity register their names and addresses at the Ghana Embassy in Tokyo and the Honorary Consulates of Ghana in Singapore and Fukuoka. Failure to do so may in a period of emergency result in difficulty or delay in according them assistance and protection to which they are entitled. Changes of address or departure from the above-mentioned countries should also be notified to the Embassy or Consulate.

Duly completed registration form (in PDF) must be submitted with your Passport, one passport size photograph and ¥4,800 processing fee.

How to Pay
CASH payments at the Embassy is not accepted under any circumstance. All Consular fees must be paid into Ghana Embassy’s Account and the receipt of payment be submitted with the application. CONSULAR/PASSPORT FEES ETC. ARE NOT REFUNDABLE even if the application is not approved. Ensure that you pay the exact amount. Short payment may delay the processing of your application. Overpayment of less than ¥2,000 will not be refunded.

Registration of Ghanaian Students in Japan/Singapore
Ghanaian students must complete the student registration form and forward it by email or fax or post to the Embassy.
Please note that no ID card will be issued to you.
