The Travel Certificate also known as Certificate of Identity is an emergency travel document issued to Ghanaians who are not in possession of valid Passports for travel to Ghana. Travel Certificate is usually valid for three (3) months from the date of issue and cannot be renewed, and it is for a single journey to Ghana only.
How to Apply
Complete the TC application form and submitted with evidence of Ghanaian citizenship such as expired or photocopy of passport, birth certificate, National ID card, voter’s ID card, or affidavit and two (2) passport size photographs, (size: 45 x 45 mm). In some cases, applicant will be required to appear in person for interview by the Consular Officer.
How to Pay
CASH payments at the Embassy is not accepted under any circumstance. All Consular fees must be paid into Ghana Embassy’s Account and the receipt of payment be submitted with the application. CONSULAR/PASSPORT FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE even if the application is not approved. Ensure that you pay the exact amount. Short payment may delay the processing of your application. Overpayment of less than ¥2,000 will not be refunded.
