[OTHER-IMAGES]
Nov 13-2025
In line with the Embassy of Ghana in Tokyo’s commitment to fostering strategic academic and innovation partnerships between Ghana and Japan, a high-level delegation from the University of Ghana, led by Professor Felix Ankomah Asante, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Development (RID), undertook an official visit to Tokyo, Japan. During the visit, the delegation explored opportunities for collaboration in key areas such as research, innovation, start-up development, and student and faculty exchanges. A major highlight of the mission was the promotion of Ghana to the World Summer School programme—an initiative aimed at strengthening the University’s global visibility and academic outreach. This engagement was fully aligned with the University of Ghana’s Strategic Plan (2024–2029), supporting four of its core strategic priorities: Transformative Student Experience Impactful Research Commitment to Faculty and Staff Engagement and Partnerships The Embassy was pleased to support this important initiative and reaffirms its commitment to facilitating partnerships that advance Ghana-Japan cooperation in education, research, and innovation.
